Sophie’s 6 month milestone session
By now you may be familiar with Mollie and Eric. They have been on my blog many times since I photographed their engagement, wedding, maternity and Sophie’s newborn session! I couldn’t be happier to be following their journey and see them again when they came in to my studio for Sophie’s 6 month milestone session! Baby Sophie is such a delight! She was wooing me with those big eyes and even bigger smile.
Scheduling a milestone session is a fantastic way to capture all the growing and changing your baby does in their first year of life. Baby Sophie looks very different from hoer newborn photos and is now sitting, giggling, playing, and is so alert! But don’t worry if your baby is or isn’t doing something at a certain age! Feel free to schedule a milestone session whenever you feel your baby is at a different milestone. All babies develop differently and may be the latest of sitters but the earliest of walkers – they make their own rules!
We spoiled little miss with girly props as well as snuggles and kisses with her parents! Mom bought the Hungry Caterpillar book for Sophie’s newborn photos but it was way to big so we decided to incorporate it in her 6 months portraits. She preferred to chew on it of course! We also used Sophie’s name blocks that we used in the maternity and newborn photos! I love using props that are special to the family in my sessions and infusing my props with them. Sophie enjoyed every minute of the pampering and attention. After we did a few studio setups we went outside to get a little Colorado feel to her gallery. I love how my studio can provide so much variety to a session! It is also a great way to keep babies entertained and happy. 🙂
Sophie’s Portraits
Enjoy the cuteness! Sophie is such a sweet little girl and brought so much joy to my day! I am looking forward to watching her grow and, all too quickly, be a big one year old! And probably be a completely different girl from these photos! Which stage do you love the best? Which milestone do you want to forever remember? Every time I do a milestone session, I am reminded of my own little guy growing up way too quickly and how important it is to document all the adorable changes.
