This little family of three had a big year for 2016! They got married, bought a house and had a beautiful baby girl Isabelle! Mom and dad wanted an in home newborn session but still with a traditional, posed style. In home sessions are typically lifestyle, but at 37 weeks pregnant myself, I packed up my gear and as many props as I could and was able to create a beautiful studio look right in their home! We are a tad limited at what we can do as far as posing and props when a session is in a home but with a little creativity and using items that are special to the parents I still provide a variety in the gallery.
Mom wanted some cute posed photos of Isabelle as well as family portraits. I can create a different look with different wraps and outfits but I love incorporating a little of mom and dad’s lifestyle into the pictures as well. Mom and dad are skiers and we created a cute ski set up for their new baby girl. And since Christmas was on the way, we decided to do a few with the little reindeer outfit as well 🙂
Some of my favorite portraits is having mom lay with her baby. I tell her to close her eyes and just enjoy how tiny she is and how easily she fits on her shoulder and chest. They are truly little like this for just a few weeks and this time goes by so incredibly fast. I like to use my sessions to not only capture this time but for the new parents to soak it all in. To cherish theses moments with their new blessing.
Isabelle’s Newborn Session
To say the least, this was a busy year for these three! I am so happy to have met this sweet girl and document her first days.
