Brynlee’s family and I go back a long time. I’ve been photographing them for over five years. It all started with Christy and Kevin’s engagement session, then their wedding, and now as their family grows. One of the most awesome parts of my job is getting to watch families grow through the years. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to document Brynlee’s life so far and look forward to watching her grow. This was Brynlee’s fourth time in front of my camera, if you include Christy’s maternity session. Now that she is 1 year old, this Colorado Springs Cake Smash Session had to be as adorable as her sister’s (if not more lol).
In celebration of Brynlee’s first birthday, her mom and I put together a garden floral vintage themed cake smash session. Compared to her 6 month baby photos, Brynlee was a little hesitant in front of my camera. She’s a little more serious these days, but she still thoroughly enjoyed her cake and sharing it with her big sister Hayley. I just love the shots of her adorable chubby cheeks and playful grin. She has so much personality already! Apparently she’s quite the little dancer, but I didn’t get to see her best moves at my studio that day. Nope Brynlee and her sister preferred playing in my studio’s bathroom rather than with any toy myself or mom or dad had. Kids….seriously! lol
