I am so excited to share this styled shoot that I was a part of! A couple months ago, some outstanding vendors and I put together a styled winter wedding. This shoot has winter and Christmas elements while maintaining a simple, classy, and modern feel. I love this time year and I always enjoy photographing winter weddings with my couples, although I haven’t had as many winter weddings in the past because both of my son’s were born in December. Finally I didn’t have a baby this year lol. This styled shoot was so much fun to work on!
Winter Wedding at Moss Denver
Christmas parties and winter weddings can sometimes be overly wintery or too Christmasy. This classic and modern shoot at Moss, in Denver, marries the venue’s already beautiful design elements with their natural atmosphere. The venue and details give this styled winter wedding a light Christmas feel, without going overboard. The ceiling lights in the Edison Room twinkle like Christmas lights and the green moss wall brings the Christmas tree green into the mix. All the other design elements, from the silver ornaments to the bride’s green cape, add to the subtle holiday theme.
The table decor isn’t overrun with greens and reds like most holiday tables. Instead a classic black, white and grey patterned chargers and plates adorn the table. This helps the florals, from The Garden Path Company, pop instead of getting lost in too many colors. Other slight color pops, like the peppermint sticks, add to traditional elements of Christmas. A pair of gloves and scarves will accompany wedding guests back home after the wedding. The wedding dress is a stunning number, from L’Amour Collection by Calla Blanche, called Paloma. It features a gorgeous studded back and cap sleeves, with a deep V in the front. Paired with a bejeweled veil and jewelry from The Bridal Collection, this bride looks like a dazzling princess. To finish the look, we had a green, fur-collared cape for her to wear outside.
