Growing up in a small desert town in California, I didn't have many photographs of my family because when I was 5 my father died in a horrible accident and since then our family felt incomplete without him. So the few pictures I had of him became my most precious possessions.  I have no wedding photos of my grandparents or parents weddings because they had to chose between furniture and a wedding.  My mother had a photographer at her wedding but none of the photos came out. I cherish my own wedding photos and never again want our family's history to be lost.  I believe one of the distinguishing elements about my photography and skill as a photographer is that I know firsthand the importance of a photograph.

Meet Katie Corinne Green

Meet Associate Photographer - Jamie

Hello lovely bride - how is your job of wedding planning going? It does feel like a second, unpaid, high pressure job making you work late at night, researching, scanning pinterest for things to do and not to do for your wedding to be perfect, unique and unforgettable. Ultimately what you want most is to remember the day. Every moment that took your breath away, moments you didn’t even see, details you put months of planning into, people you only get to see once a year and people you love so much you can’t imagine life without them.

So, you want to see and consider every photographer because such an important day cannot be redone. It will outlast the 24 hours and follow you the rest of your life. Your children and their children will look at these pictures to know you and your families legacy. You want images that you won’t look back on in 5, 10, 30 years that are dated, that you hate, that you don’t know what you were thinking. What you really want to see is that look between you two - that spark that is still there now and through tragedies and joys 50 years later.

I believe in heirloom imagery that tells the stories of your life. At the end of a wonderful day we all have documentation - a marriage license, a birth certificate, wedding rings, a guest book, etc. But do you have what is really important? Do you have beautiful, keepsake photographs that tell the story of the happiness when you held her hand at the altar knowing she was now your wife? Or the first time you saw each other, how amazing you looked and how lucky you felt on your wedding day? Or the family that came so far to see your beautiful, happy day and the amazing fun of the night? I want you to have all of these things.

I capture in photographs the emotions of your best days, especially your wedding day. The story that brought you to your wedding day. The experience of becoming Mr. & Mrs (or Mr./Mr. and Mrs. /Mrs.). Those moments that normally are fleeting and fade with time but now rekindle your love and nostalgia every day you gaze at the portraits in your new home.
