The Favier Family’s Fall Photos (that is quite a mouthful isn’t it!) are just so cute and I can’t stop looking at them! Two toddlers mean double the cuteness, double the fun, and usually double the trouble! These two were pretty well behaved though. At least they were after some fruit snack bribes from their photographer! 🙂 There are always snacks and loads of treats in my camera bag. I call it my bag of tricks! I come prepared to bribe the kids into staying put and smiling for their photos. Toddlers aren’t always the easiest to control but a fruit snack will make most people happy!

Kevin and Christy wanted to have a family photo session to celebrate their oldest daughter, Hayley, turning four. But Hayley was a little camera shy and Brynlee was a bit of a ham. It’s hard being an older sister sometimes. The babies always get all the attention! This family did such a good job coordinating their outfits. Don’t they look awesome together? I love the pop of maroon and the girl’s cute brown boots! Maroon is a great accent color for fall photos. These guys look wonderful against the yellow, autumn backdrop!
When we planned this session for the fall, I had another location in mind. Just before the session, both my son and their girls got sick so we rescheduled. Then we had a very windy day in Colorado. The wind took a lot of the yellow leaves down off the trees. Luckily, I always have at least one backup plan, so we found a new location and it was perfect.
Fall in Colorado can be a bit finicky. Strong wind, rain or snow can make all the leaves fall early. I always have multiple location options, so we’ll never let the weather ruin your portrait session! I actually like the end of fall family sessions a lot. When the leaves are on the ground, we can have lots of fun playing in them! So many of my kiddos love throwing the leaves up in the air and rolling around in them. After some of the leaves have fallen, we get so many more opportunities for playing around with the leaves!
