Tori and Chris had an Evergreen engagement session at Elk Meadow and Evergreen Lake. Evergreen is a great spot for anyone near Denver, who wants a mountain feel to their photos without traveling too far. It has a great lake and lake house, a cute town, and plenty of gorgeous parks and hiking trails around. You can even get married at the Evergreen Lake House! These two are having a fall wedding in October at the Sanctuary.
Chris actually tore his ACL and had surgery in January. That meant we had to do their engagement session before the surgery, while he could still get around. I think he did pretty well for a torn ACL! They brought their dog Charlie for some photos. I love when couples bring their dogs to their sessions.

Sharing black and white photos from portrait sessions is pretty out of the norm for me. In my wedding posts, I usually share a few mixed in with the color. Plus, I always give my clients the option of black and white, if the photo looks good. I almost always prefer color though. I’m just a total color girl! For these photos however, I just loved so many of them in black and white that I had to share a bunch. I just think they look so timeless and romantic!
I also feel like this session is reminiscent of Prince Harry’s engagement photos. Have you seen them yet! They’re gorgeous. I love seeing all the photos of the royals, from the engagements to wedding photos and photos of all the royal babies. I love them all and I love that this session reminded me of some of those photos!
