I love being able to work with clients through all of life’s journeys, from engagements and weddings, to maternity and family photography. We photographed Amanda and Damian’s engagement session and their Crooked Willow Farms wedding in 2015. I was so excited to find out that they were expecting their first baby this year! They will be having a baby boy! I am so grateful that they trusted us to not only capture their wedding but also to be their Colorado maternity photographers.
They have an adorable Golden Retriever named Captain, who was the ring bearer at their wedding. I think he’s going to make a great big brother too! He was so well behaved at our session, but with the amazing fall colors and tall grasses he nearly got lost because he matched the scenery so well! Haha! Amanda brought the cutest props and they even made sure their outfits matched the props as well. Even Captain matched one of the setups we had!
For the first set, they brought a tiny pair of baby moccasins and a sign for Captain to wear that said Big Brother. He looked so proud while wearing it and the moccasins were just so, so cute! Then, for the second set, they went all plaid! Damian and Ashley each wore black with red plaid, and Captain had a plaid bandanna. They had a little plaid onesie and an adorable plaid hat for Baby Boy B.
Colorado Maternity Photographers
Lately, I’ve been noticing more and more, that many Colorado maternity photographer have been moving or going out of business. This is always so upsetting to see although I’m sure they are all moving on to bigger and better things! A lot of my colleagues in the area, like Modern Newborn Photography, Jessica Arellin Photography, and Jennifer Lambson Photography have all either moved or had to close their businesses recently. There are a few other Colorado newborn photographers who are moving and can no longer take on Colorado clients. Nicole McDaniels Photography used to be in Monument, right by me and left the area and Precious Encounters Photography will be moving in 2019. It’s always sad to see colleagues go, however, I can’t wait to see what they do next.
