Wedding day at Spruce Mountain Ranch – Chris and Jaclyn
Jaclyn & Chris met through Chris’s sister Dana when he was home on leave. They became engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Chris playfully pretending to ask a “tourist” to take their photo while he popped the question. This “tourist” recorded the proposal. Such a beautiful engagement story! A very different setting for their wedding story though. For their wedding day at Spruce Mountain Ranch, they wanted the rustic ranch of Spruce Mountain with it’s mountain views and sweeping green fields.
The main look though for their day was still formal and elegant so the groomsmen wore full tuxes with tails. Jaclyn chose a timeless look for her wedding party. Stunning floor length dusty rose gowns for her bridesmaids. Jaclyn’s family is Dutch and many of the guests came all the way from Amsterdam for her wedding. The bride wore a mermaid style gown with a touch glam in the detail. Jaclyn insisted, to her florist’s dismay 🙂 to have tulips in her bouquet and for the boutonniere even though it was a quite warm June Sunday (father’s day actually). As the groom got ready, the first drink he grabbed (a coke) said “better half.” He considered this his wedding luck for his wedding day and for his marriage to come.
The ring boxes used on the wedding day were actually hand made by Chris. He wanted something special to contribute for the wedding ceremony. For the favors, little wooden tulips and clogs (bottle openers) were placed neatly on the plates. Tables set perfectly with a pink peonies center pieces and stainless steel plates.
Congratulations to the happy couple on their wedding day at Spruce Mountain Ranch.
Chris made their wedding ring boxes. What a guy!
