Emily’s six-month session used so many fun props, outfits, and backdrops from my stash! I love shopping for props for my studio but I don’t have the room for everything I want. One thing I do to get the most use out of what I have is I use the same props for different kinds of sessions. A lot of baskets, blankets, and even outfits work for newborns and older babies alike. There are even designs made to stretch and fit babies of all sizes. (Oh, and did you know that I crochet or sew a lot of my newborn closet outfits?) That means we can recreate the same photo of your baby throughout their milestone package. Don’t worry though, I still have plenty of different props and outfits to mix things up and get unique setups at each of your sessions.
Emily’s Six Month Session
This was Emily’s second session in her milestone package. We did her newborns after she was born and next, we’ll see each other again for her birthday session! I can’t wait to see this little one smash a cake! For her six-month session, we used tons of fun colors and bold patterns. I absolutely love this pineapple onesie her parents brought for her. So cute! Half of the outfits on here are Emily’s and 1/2 are mine. Can you tell which are which?
The white lace dresses we used are absolute classics. I always make sure to get timeless photos with every session. I make most of my own headbands and I love using them for milestone sessions. We have them in every color so there is one to go with every outfit. We ended the session with the cutest white chair. This is one of my favorite props for sitter sessions (that’s sessions with little ones who can sit up). It makes them look so grown up but it’s actually just a really small chair. Lol!
