I am a Colorado newborn photographer but that can mean different things to different people. Really, I am a studio, posed newborn photographer. That means that I pose my newborn babies rather than capture lifestyle photos and I use backdrops, wraps, and props. It also means that I have my newborn sessions in my photography studio. Well, not this time! This session with Baby Noah was my first in home posed newborn session. Everything was the same as any other session except that we were in my client’s home instead of my newborn studio.
In Home Posed Newborn Session – Baby Noah
It was really important to make sure that the photos didn’t look any different than my other, in-studio work. You probably couldn’t even tell the difference, right? It’s important to me that my work is consistent so my clients always know what they are getting when they hire me. It was also important to these clients because I had photographed their oldest son, Quade, a couple years ago. (It was so fun seeing him all grown up too!)
We needed to make sure the images of both boys matched and looked great on their walls together. In order to make sure everything looks the same, I brought my studio with me! I showed up at their house with arms full of props, blankets, wraps, and lights and set up a mini studio in their living room. Take a look at Quade’s session here. Don’t those photos look similar? You would never know this session was on location. We even used some of the same outfits and props!
I always love working with this amazing family. Travis and Jordan are so wonderful and they make the cutest little boys, don’t you think!? They have such an amazing story as well. I’m so excited to help them welcome Baby Noah into the world!
