You may have seen I was traveling recently and for good reason as my niece had her first baby – a beautiful baby girl! Of course, I just had to fly to Texas to meet her and spoil her with cute wraps and headbands. Even if that meant traveling at 31 weeks pregnant with a suitcase full of baby props instead of clothes for myself! And this baby didn’t want to make it easy, she refused to come when induced and made her mom (and me) wait another week to make her appearance. It was all worth it because she is the most precious little thing. I loved spending her first days with her and taking her newborn pictures!
As you may know, I have a lovely studio in Palmer Lake, CO where I do most of my newborn photography. But with just a few wraps, blankets and headbands, I can create beautiful images in your home as well. Of course, my studio has many more options for baskets and backdrops, but I can still provide a variety in your gallery with different poses and snuggles with mom and dad. I love being creative with my newborns and using different wrapping and posing techniques to create completely different images. So, if you are not able to make it to my studio, I will come to you!
Blake’s Newborn Pictures
Lucky for me, Blake’s nursery was decorated so lovely for photos with her mom and dad. She was a pretty good baby sleeping for me but I hear that she was very nice to her parents and slept well the night before so I’m sure she could have been even better 😉 A few tips for any parents bringing their little one to a newborn session – Bring a fussy, sleepy, hungry baby if at all possible 🙂 lol You can feed them once you get to the studio before your session starts and usually they will take a full feeding so that they are very full and very sleepy for their pictures.
I am so happy that I was able to document Blake’s first few days at home. She is such a perfect squishy baby girl and I had so much fun posing her and capturing her in the arms of her mom and dad. They, of course, are completely smitten by her! Welcome to the world Miss Blake!
