Kayla and Nick will be getting married at Spruce Mountain. They are planning a winter wedding in January 2019! Since all their wedding photos will be snowy and cozy, they wanted the complete opposite for their Colorado engagement session. We had a late summer engagement session at Kayla’s parent’s house. They have an amazingly lush backyard that seems to go on forever. It had such a summer feel, the total opposite of what their wedding will be.
When I came to do their engagement photos, I also took the family’s portraits. I love that this family wanted to get new photos of everyone together. And now that Nick will be joining the family, it was a great time for a photo update. I’ll be sharing the family photos a little later. I have a lot of other sessions to catch up on first, so look out for a lot more blogs coming up!
Colorado Engagement with a Trampoline!
I love the outfits these two chose to wear for their engagement session. The jeans and nice tops looked great on them and their neutral tones helped them stand out against the lush backyard. Their shirts were a similar color but they had different textures and styles so they complimented each other really well. Seriously, I cannot get over how beautiful and green it was there!
Kayla’s parents have a trampoline in their backyard, so of course, we had a lot of fun getting some killer jumping photos. Kayla and Nick must have cashed in all their karma points because the golden light at the end of this session was so incredible. Even without it, their energy just lit everything up. You can really see how much love they have for each other! I am so excited to photograph their Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding in January!
