Elegant, Summer Garden of the Gods Resort Wedding
From personal experience, being a wedding photographer isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Of course, I know there’s a tremendous amount of pressure and a very short amount of time to document a specific day. I have to have the best equipment and can never be sick and miss my weekends. Sometimes, this also means turning away other couples because I am already booked! This was almost the case with Meagan and Andrew!. They had planned the most amazing and beautiful wedding at one of my favorite wedding venues and I was booked!
Luckily, I’m sure you know, I have a talented associate, Jamie, who was available to document their day. Yet, no worries, I was documenting another mountain wedding in the mountains. Jamie is a fantastic photographer and as close to a clone to me as possible. I get to relive the day almost as the couple, when I edit this elegant, summer Garden of the Gods Resort Wedding.
Meagan + Andrew
The beginning of the day started at a private residence for getting ready and a first look with Meagan’s mom as well as her dad. Many of the family portraits were done before the ceremony even though there was no first look between the bride and groom. Looking at the photos, I think it was worth it. Clearly, both Andrew and Meagan were moved at the sight of one another. Those looks are never to be forgotten.
Garden of the Gods Resort has really transformed their covered patio area into a space that can be used so many uses. Of course, I have used it for cover in inclement weather to continue doing wedding portraits. It can also be the location of your ceremony if need be and in this case, an outdoor reception location. In addition, this was no ordinary wedding reception. This reception had dueling pianos and band. The environment and vibes were wild and completely overjoyed. Clearly, the ring bearers’ even got to stay up late to partake in the celebration festivities. This couple may have to return to Kansas after today, however, they won’t be empty handed with images and memories like this.
