Hotel Polaris Wedding

Nestled in the picturesque Colorado Springs, just a stone’s throw from the iconic United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), is the newly opened Hotel Polaris. The new building offers an unforgettable wedding and event venue for a one-of-a-kind Hotel Polaris wedding experience. Naturally, its breathtaking mountain views and elegant design are inspired by the Academy’s rich history and brings together modern luxury with military homage.

As you step into the hotel, the design immediately catches the eye, with the hues of gold, red, silver, and blue seen throughout the space. In addition, the room designs even nod to the Academy’s dorms, combining modern luxury with military-inspired touches. For couples looking to make a statement, the reception rooms at Hotel Polaris are spacious enough to host several hundred guests, making it the ideal location for a grand wedding celebrations.

A Maverick-Inspired Celebration

The styled wedding photoshoot at the Hotel Polaris was designed with an unmistakable Maverick and Air Force theme, bringing the spirit of aviation and adventure to life. The style seamlessly blended classic USAFA military colors — red, gold, silver, and blue — with the bold aviation style. The décor evoked the thrilling world of jet pilots, with elements that paid tribute to both the Air Force and the daring spirit of Top Gun.

For this photoshoot, the Maverick and Air Force-inspired theme truly took flight. The wedding ceremony programs are playful paper airplanes, setting the tone for the aviation motif. Furthermore, the color scheme is evident through to the table settings. The decor features blue and gold accents that beautifully complemented the surrounding mountain vistas. Also, guests of the hotel are treated to the luxurious details of a 1950s-inspired bar. One of my favorites, it features jets suspended from the ceiling, an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and daring.

Taking Off – Flight Simulator

It should be noted, one of the most unique features of the Hotel Polaris is its flight simulator. This is a thrilling experience that adds an unforgettable adventure for wedding guests. The simulator is the perfect touch for the Maverick-inspired theme, allowing guests to live out their own flight dreams while adding a dash of excitement to the event. The location’s proximity to the USAFA and the new visitor center means that the hotel also enjoys stunning views of the majestic mountains. The mountainous terrain and wide open skies added to the thrill of the aviation theme, reminding all present of the vast possibilities and the spirit of adventure.

Obviously, for couples looking for a wedding venue that is not only visually striking but also rich in history and character, Hotel Polaris in Colorado Springs offers an unparalleled setting. Whether you’re a fan of aviation or simply seeking a memorable and unique celebration, this stunning venue delivers everything you could want and more.

I've been a Colorado wedding and portrait photographer since 2006 in the days of photography yore. Every client is family to me and I love to grow and document each and everyone's most emotional moments and bundles of joy whether they be human or furbaby. It's very much the happiest days of a person's life and I feel purpose while documenting those moments.
