What a beautiful day! Warm, 70 degrees, the sun shinning. Laura was filled with excitement while she and her girls got ready for the big day. Joe was cool and calm as he laced up his shoes thinking of the wonderful women he was about to marry. Yes, this was a beautiful day. A day that had been coming since their chance meeting on St Patrick’s day in 2009.
Friends and Family gathered at the Timber Ridge at Keystone Resort. A place they described as very “Joe & Laura”. The ceremony site has a perfect mountain backdrop and the reception hall is a perfect mix of Colorado rustic and timeless charm. To get there though, you must ride up 2 different gondolas/ski lifts! This venue is for the adventurous so hopefully your guests brought their ski jackets and hiking boots. Rustic wood tables were covered with white crystal china and simple white & purple bouquets. A globe served as their guest book, something that fit their travel theme to a T and will be a wonderful keepsake in their home. And lets not forget the luggage tag place cards! Joe being a pilot of course. If you remember, their engagement photos was just near where the planes land at the airport so we got some huge jets in their photos! Last, on the top tier of their magnificent wedding cake (above the “mountains” on the layers) sat Laura & Joe with their plane to take them on life’s adventures. And I hear they are expecting now! So many wonderful things to come for these two. I can’t wait to meet their new little one.
Enjoy!
