Newborn Portraits of Beckett

Thanksgiving and Christmas Presents!

Having a baby is not something we can truly ever be prepared for, Baby Beckett was supposed to be due after Thanksgiving! Yet he decided to make an early appearance and, of course, during the best time, a winter blizzard.  So through the snow, off to the hospital in Colorado they went!  Mom and Dad were lucky to bring this tiny baby home in time for turkey and stuffing!  I got to meet him a little later, a few weeks before Christmas. We knew we had to incorporate holiday themes to a few of his newborn portraits.  Baby Beckett was so precious in this cute reindeer outfit. I love the one with his little tail sticking up just like a white tail deer.  Then we did a few in an elf hat as well as a garland wreath.  Of course we did some sleepy baby boy shots.  My favorite though, are the ones of the new family of 3 snuggling together and realizing that they are now Mom and Dad to this little boy.

Did I mention Herry Potter? Because, mom and dad are both Herry Potter fans, I knew we had to incorporate it in Becket’s session. Aren’t his glasses so adorable? I love being able to customize my sessions to my clients. I always try to add a little bit of their personalities to the session to make it personal and unique for them. On top of newborn portraits with the baby alone, I always get family portraits and portraits of the baby with each parents. Beckett will be this small for such a {painfully} short period of time, and I always want mom and dad to remember how small he once was and how easily he fit in their arms, snuggled safely between them.
