So this adorable little newborn boy has a beautiful family and his proud daddy may look familiar. If you are a Denver Broncos fan, you may recognize Tight End [TE] Virgil Green. Although I am a Broncos fan, I also married into being a Dallas Cowboys fan, so I didn’t recognize dad right away when they came into my studio. Whoops 🙂 lol But really these guys are like any other new family. They are ecstatic having finally met their precious baby boy after 9 long months and enjoying every minute of it.
If you are interested in a newborn session, remember most of the time the newer they are, the better they pose. In the first 7 days of their life, they are sleepy and easy to mold into those snuggly baby poses. Typically you would schedule a tentative session date with me a few months before you are due. Then when baby comes we set up a time within the first 7 days of the baby’s life for the newborn session. As the baby gets older they typically don’t sleep as deep, start to develop ache and blemishes and sometimes colic and acid reflux which makes those cuddly shots very difficult to achieve. However, with little boys, we do want to be mindful of when and if they are still sensitive after circumcision. I texted mom about our original appointment and she wasn’t in labor so we moved the session to later that week and then, of course, 12 hours later I got a text from her that he was here!
Baby Virgil is named after his daddy. He has his smile too! The session took place in my Palmer Lake studio. Dad wanted to incorporate a commemorative 50th Super Bowl Panthers vs Broncos ball which we did! It’s too bad he doesn’t have his Superbowl ring yet! Maybe I’ll have to photoshop it in lol. Mom loved basket shots so we did quite a few of those with some cute outfits and wraps. They loved the crown shots with the basket for this little king. I am so overjoyed that they will have these photographs to look back on, and remember all of the perfect details of Virgil when he was only just a few days old.
