Ava is 6 months!
Wow! This precious little girl has changed so much since her newborn session. She was so sleepy and curly during her newborn session and I didn’t get to see just how blue her eyes are and how lovely her smile is, until she was in my studio for her 6 month milestone portraits. She was sitting up and curious as could be about all the things I had in my studio! If you remember, I photographed Dane and Jenny’s maternity and newborn sessions and am so happy to catch up and see how well everything is going.
Just like her newborn session, Miss Ava rocked her 6 month milestone portraits! Dane is military and got home a day before so they could do photos with the whole family! We made sure to get family photos and Christmas card photos as well to take advantage of him being home. They would have loved to have their fur baby in the photos but it’s really hard for these sessions! I am hoping to incorporate him for her 1 yr portraits!
I adore the color palette for Ava’s portraits. The creams and natural tones as well as a little pop of color with soft blues and pinks really worked well with her lighter skin tone. Doesn’t she look so adorable in the baby bonnet photo? I love the classic and timeless look a bonnet adds to a baby’s portrait. It really helped frame her delightful little face. It was too cold for outdoor pics when Ava was born and I was so excited to take this family outside my studio and capture some Colorado memories for them against the Rocky Mountain landscape. Ava is a true Colorado girl and loved being outside and getting spoiled with hugs and kisses from mom and dad.
