A few weeks back, my friend Danna Frost (of Danna Frost Photography) and I drove to the Sand Dunes National Park to trade maternity sessions. The location did not disappoint and was worth the 3 hour drive from the Springs. We had so much fun chatting as we drove down and getting creative during our time together. The Sand Dunes can present lots of different lighting, dynamic and harsh and then soft and magical towards sunset. Fortunately for us, the weather and the light was perfect and we had a blast celebrating our baby bumps with a Sand Dunes Maternity session. We climbed the peaks and twirled in the sand, and it felt good to get pretty and spend a little time in front of the camera! Although, as you can imagine, it wasn’t the easiest (or prettiest ha!) task for two pregnant woman to walk through the sand dunes mountains with all their photography gear, dresses and such! We should have brought our husbands to help!
Although a lot of work, the huge dunes and canyon winds made for epic portraits. Danna looked absolutely stunning and is just a gorgeous pregnant mamma!

I love the photos she took of me and can’t wait to share more.
Danna is expecting another baby girl and she will be here in just a few days! So excited for our babies to be buds!
