These awesome people are family friends of mine and I’ve been taking their portraits for years. In the fall, they joined me for a family mini session to get some updated portraits. Sophia is the oldest and Alex is her younger sister. They are really sweet together and Mom and Dad are so playful and loving with them. Sophia and Alex are older than my boys but not so old that an arranged marriage isn’t out of the question lol While I don’t want my kids to ever grow up, I think these ages will be so much fun with them! 😀 These four all love each other so much, and I am really glad I was able to capture all that love in these photographs.
Bear Creek Family Mini Session
We did the session at Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs. It was early fall, so the session was before the leaves changed. Most of my clients who opt for outdoor sessions try to plan them around the fall leaves, which can be pretty but tricky with scheduling and weather. I really love the color in these photos though! The greens go so well with the blues and burgundy the W Family wore to their session. There’s nothing wrong with summertime family portraits and lots of green leaves!
Bear Creek Park is a fantastic location for family photos and mini sessions. It offers a good variety of backdrops and it’s beautiful all year long. The trees offer great shade, which is really nice for sessions that need to be scheduled early for little one’s bedtimes. There’s a great bridge which is really fun for kiddos to run across and it makes for some cool photos. Plus, there are gorgeous views of the foothills and a big meadow to look at them from. This is a great location for families who really want that classic Colorado feel in their portraits!
