I first met Spencer at a styled shoot I did on the roof of a new highrise in Denver! My photo from that session even made it onto the cover of Wedding Sites and Services! Have you seen it? Spencer was my groom model for that styled shoot so he’s on a magazine cover. Now he’s getting married for real! No, he’s not getting married to the bride from that shoot. Lol! He’s marrying his fiance Candice. Candice and Spencer reached out to me for their engagement photos and I am so glad that they did! I had a wonderful time photographing this lovely couple. They are so in love! These two had a sunny Red Rocks engagement session in February, just before Valentine’s Day.
Red Rocks Engagement – Spencer and Candice
We did Candice and Spencer’s engagement photos at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Due to the permit requirements for Red Rocks and in order to fit everyone’s schedules, we had to do the session in the morning. It was during that cold snap we had so it was pretty chilly early in the morning. Candice and Spencer braved the 20-degree weather to get these gorgeous engagement photos. You would never know from looking at them, right? Good thing Red Rocks always looks so good in the winter. And these two made it look like the warmest summer’s day. The sun may have been harsh for photos but it certainly helped us warm up!
Another issue we ran into was that Red Rocks amphitheater was under construction when we went! Just something we deal with as Denver photographers. Lol! We couldn’t go all the way to the bottom, by the stage but we still got to get all the gorgeous views from the top of the amphitheater!
I loved the colors they chose for their outfits! Spencer wore a blue sweater which looked great with the open blue skies we had that day. Candice wore a gorgeous lace, red dress which was amazing against the red rocks. They looked so great together and the location we chose complimented them so well.
