Shayla and Matt were so much fun to photograph! These guys are getting married this month at Brittany Hill and I am so excited for their big day! Earlier in the summer, we did their downtown Denver engagement session, so they could have photos done for their wedding announcements and day of wedding decor. Plus, a lot of my couples just love to have photos of themselves in a more casual setting. You don’t wear a tux and gown every day of your life, right? Engagement photos make great family gifts and wall art for your home!
Downtown Denver Engagement – Shayla + Matt
We started Matt and Shayla’s downtown Denver engagement session at Little Man Ice Cream, Then, we made way to Sapor Coffee and then to a gorgeous park downtown. This summer has been so hot and the day of their engagement session was an incredibly hot day. It was in the 90s the whole time we were shooing, but these two just went with the flow of things! I would love to have started the session with some ice cream cones to cool us down, but the line at Little Man was insanely long!
For most, of our session, we stayed in the LoHi area of Denver. It is such a cute little neighborhood and so close to downtown. It’s at a higher elevation than most of the city, so we got amazing views of the skyline. There are also so many great little restaurants, shops, and small businesses in the area. We stopped by Colt and Grey to get some of their distillery barrels in a few shots. Then we went to Sapor Coffee and stopped for a drink. Their lavender lemonade was delish! We ended the evening at a local park, to get a more natural, garden feel while keeping the urban vibe with a superb view of downtown Denver.
