This session makes so so, so happy! Sierra is my hair stylist so I was so excited when she asked me to be her wedding and engagement photographer. Sierra and Jacob are going to have a destination wedding in Key West, Florida at sunset. And they are flying me out to photograph it! How did I get so lucky? Since they’re having an out of state wedding, we thought it would be perfect to have a wildflower mountain engagement session. What a great way to show off the beauty of Colorado! In addition, is a great way to get photos in your home state if you’re having a destination wedding.
Wildflower Mountain Engagement – Sierra + Jacob
We went to the Rampart Reservoir area of Woodland Park for this session. This area has stunning mountain views and we went at the absolute perfect time for wildflowers. A lot of my clients ask for wildflower sessions and they want to know when the best time of the year is for mountain wildflowers. The truth is, it totally depends on where you want to go and what kind of wildflowers are there. Each area has its own peak flower season and some even have different waves of color as different flowers fill in.
Jacob and Sierra were experts frolickers too! They really frolicked like pros through the flowers and tall grasses and we got some amazing photos from it! After we played in the wildflowers until our hearts were content, we went out to the open fields to get those amazing mountain views. And seriously, can we talk about Sierra’s red dress? Isn’t int incredible! I could have photographed these two all day!
