Broadmoor intimate micro-wedding

The Broadmoor Hotel is one of Colorado Springs’ gems. Most of the weddings that I have seen and photographed at the hotel are elaborate blowout bashes in their elegant ballrooms. However, did you know that The Broadmoor has intimate micro-wedding options on its property? It’s true! Years ago, I did a wedding in one of their suites and they later had their reception in the Penrose Room. However, for Hannah + Brian, they opted for The Fish House which is a rustic lodge nestled directly on the golf course.

The day started in one of the Broadmoor’s gorgeous suites to get ready in. With a Broadmoor intimate micro-wedding, the timeline is much slower paced and enjoyable. Hannah and Brian were able to walk most of the grounds to get all the amazing views the property has to offer. Not only that but even though this was a day before Halloween, it was truly the last day of fall. There was still color on the trees, sunny and almost 60 degrees.

This was my first time at The Fish House and I didn’t realize that everyone, including me, was shuttled in on the hotel’s golf carts. Since it was less than 25 people, it wasn’t hard at all. At the lodge, there’s a dock and pond as well as beautiful willows and a grand view of the Broadmoor with the mountains. The number of photos I delivered from this wedding was obscene! I had so many favorites and so much variety! If you are eloping or considering having a smaller wedding day, definitely take a look at The Broadmoor.
