Destination Colorado Wedding – Garden of the Gods Resort

I’ve been living in Colorado now for almost 20 years, however, I’m originally from California. Now that I have been here for so long, I forget how popular a location Colorado is for those looking for adventure. Although my studio prides itself on repeat customers from engagements, weddings to newborns and families, about 35% of my clients are from out of state. That number fluctuates quite a bit and is expanded with all of our military serving here temporarily.

Maggie and Riley’s Wedding Day

Maggie and Riley knew though that they wanted their wedding Colorado. High school sweethearts from Texas and they know a good thing when they see it. They also knew about the stunning views to be found in Colorado Springs. A Destination Colorado wedding at Garden of the Gods Resort was everything they had dreamed of and more. If you are not familiar, the resort sits on an overlook just outside of Garden of the Gods Park. It has unimpeded views, remarkable accommodations and a reflection pool for double the view. The resort is a favorite for us and is one of our few preferred venues. This means that we frequently work with the venue and offer specials for clients.

The view from the resort is so good, that like Riley and Maggie, we didn’t even have to go to the park to get their photos. We did, however, go off property to the historic Rock Ledge Ranch bordering Garden of the Gods Park. This property requires a permit. However, it gives a more private and different feel and look than the park or resort. It is a great add-on option depending on how you want to remember and experience your wedding day. After returning to the resort, the ceremony and cocktail hour was outside enjoying the beautiful weather and the party carried on inside. At the end of the night, there was a wardrobe change and the grandest wedding exit if I have ever seen one. The rest of the day was bathed in golden light and loving memories that will be held dearly for a lifetime.
