One memorable proposal at the resort took place when a couple was vacationing at Garden of the Gods Resort. The proposal was a complete surprise! Alex, the groom-to-be had planned every detail with the help of the resort’s team and kept it under wraps until the right moment. Kaylee was so blissfully unaware that she almost missed her own proposal and didn’t go out to grab a selfie by the reflection pool. Surrounded by the beauty of the red rock formations, the couple couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting. I was there to document the emotional moment, ensuring the couple could look back on their engagement day with fond memories.
Holiday Proposal with a Family Touch
Another heartwarming proposal at the resort occurred during the holidays. After speaking to Deb, the mother of the bride, we decided to stage the moment as a family portrait session. Little did the bride-to-be know that what seemed like a casual family photo session was actually the proposal moment. Austin worked closely with the bride’s mother to plan the proposal, making it a truly special family affair. We even had a signal for Austin to know when to ask. After the proposal, the couple was surprised with a generous gift from the bride’s family —a stay at the resort for the night. An especially lovely gift allowing the newly engaged couple to savor the moment. Furthermore, not only did the family get updated family photos, but they also were able to document the “yes” moment with engagement photos.
