We positioned ourselves across Broadmoor Lake while waiting for the couple to take an afternoon stroll. As snow lightly covered the ground and Christmas music echoed from the hotel, we watched from a distance. In a perfectly poetic Colorado moment, a pair of deer—another set of lovebirds—hurried past us along the lakeside. It felt like nature itself was enjoying the same occasion.
When he led her to the edge of the lake, framed by snow and the grand hotel glowing behind them, he dropped to one knee. It was intimate yet grand—everything a Christmas proposal at The Broadmoor should be. Afterward, we took portraits around the property, incorporating the enormous Christmas tree and the resort’s classic European-inspired architecture. With the winter décor and mountain backdrop, every image felt timeless.
