These two lovebirds will be having a downtown Denver wedding in the fall. So, for their engagement session, Jane and Nolan wanted the complete opposite. We planned a classic rustic Colorado engagement session for them this spring. Since their wedding will be completely indoors (which will be great to protect them from Colorado’s bipolar weather!), I wanted to make sure to get a more traditional Colorado look that they wanted in an outdoor natural setting.
Nolan and Jane were so cute. They kept talking about how they were so awkward in front of the camera and they were convinced that a handful of good images was all they needed. All the while, every single photo of them came out amazing! I swear, I hardly even had to do anything or direct them. They were total naturals. Their love for each other came through in every picture!
Colorado Engagement Session – Jane and Nolan
For their session, I found two locations that I thought would be perfect for them. Since they are so close together, we got to go to both in one session. We started their Colorado engagement session at Columbine Open Space, which has a gorgeous barn as well as beautiful open skies and fields. Then we went to Dawson Butte Open Space, which offered us some forest and mountain views! I love when two great locations are close and we have time to split the session between them to get two different looks. These two spots are only a couple of minutes away from each other!
I can’t wait to photograph Nolan and Jane’s wedding this October! They will be getting married at Trinity Church and having a reception at the Oxford Hotel. With two amazing, historic Denver locations, I know it’s going to be a magical day! I’m so glad we were able to get these outdoor photos of them, with gorgeous light to boot. In October, in Denver, you just never know what the weather is going to give you!
