Oh I just love capturing people in love! What better way to celebrate the start of your new life together than with an engagement session? It is also a great opportunity for us to connect on a personal level so we are comfortable with each other on the big day of your wedding. My favorite part is learning about your love story and getting the opportunity to document it in a beautiful way. I’d like for you to see this session as a special date where you can spend time in each others arms, simply enjoying each others company. This session will help you learn to relax in front of the camera and help you not be self conscious on your wedding day!
Canaan is a police officer and proposed to Kelsey at the Police Academy graduation ceremony. Yes! In front of the entire 700 person class! We shot their engagement session at the Garden of the Gods and incorporated his officer badge into the engagement ring shots to honor this time of his life becoming a police officer and a fiancé! Garden of the Gods is a photographer’s paradise with dramatic views of sandstone rock formations, and the Front Range! We had a simply amazing time discovering the garden together, and it gave me a chance to really get to know them better.
The best time for your engagement session is about 6 months – 1 yr before your wedding! These photos are great way to announce your wedding, create save-the-date cards, wedding website, invites or even at your wedding incorporated into your decor. Some brides-to-be use their engagement sessions as an opportunity to practice their wedding hair and makeup.
I am so happy for these two and what the future holds for them. In just a year from now they will be celebrating their love for each other with 400 guests at Spruce Mountain Ranch! From proposal to wedding day I love that they chose to include so many people and share this momentous time in their lives.
