Villa Parker Wedding – Snowy, Winter Wonderland
Jill & Tim’s wedding day on January 4th started precarious. It had been snowing all night and that morning as I drove on an unplowed I-25 to their gorgeous and unique venue of Villa Parker in Parker, CO. By the time I got there, there was about 5-6 inches on the ground and it was still coming. Luckily, everything was going just as planned with the girls getting primped and even with playoff games starting any moment, the guys were there, getting ready.
Wedding Details – Family heirloom jewelry
The details that Jill had incorporated were memorable and emotional. The earrings she wore were passed down through her family and were heirlooms (and gorgeous!). The groomsmen all had specially picked out and unique socks to wear with their dapper suits. Even her dress and shoes were perfectly matched to her winter wedding (although some snow boots were needed for our outdoor shots of course).
Everyone were completely dedicated to this wintery wedding day and braved the cold even though it was still snowing….even grandma! When you think about it, everything was going right that day, the snow was perfect, light and soft. Jill & Tim opted for a first look before all of the action and busy bustling happened for the ceremony and reception. It was really nice to have that moment for themselves and be more private and intimate.
Indoor Wedding Ceremony
With a location like Villa Parker, there are no shortage of places to get photographs like these to last for the rest of their marriage. Aspen trees, ironwork gates, large lanterns, old antique doors on a Mediterranean estate. And then the ceremony began, with baby’s breath in a long, elegant vase that lined the aisle with chivari chairs and what seemed like a wall of lit candles. Lucky for all the guests Villa Parker can flip a space so ceremonies can be inside in the same place as the reception.
I think this reception decor had simple accents that made a big statement. I love how the centerpieces are just baby’s breath but bigger and taller to give them more drama. The cake was beautiful and delicious as it shimmered like the new powder snow glimmering in the marketlights. Don’t miss the stunning night photo of these two outside in the snow at the end!
and my favorite part/shot of the night – a perfect winter twinkle light shot of the newly wed couple.
