New Beginnings seems appropriate for the tale of these two lovebirds. All couples have new experiences and stories but Sterling & Joe seemed to fit them all into 1 week! That week, Sterling had not only graduated from Midwestern University, but was also commissioned into the Navy by her very own father and then to boot gotten married at a brand new and stunning wedding venue, Baldoria on the Water! There were even more new beginnings, be sure to read all the way to the end to to find out the other new adventures to come!
It was time to get ready for this big day. Sterling’s hair and make-up was stunning and perfectly done by Kris Mitchell. Finishing touches were being made when Sterling saw her wedding bouquet for the first time and it brought tears to her eyes. Who wouldn’t when they saw how beautiful it looked thanks to Dana Yager and Barb Twedt. Finally, it came time to put on her exquisite wedding dress from Wedding Treasures, who also provided the bridesmaids dresses and tuxes for the groomsmen. Sterling had to be ready for her “1st look, no look” where she and Joe shared a beautiful moment (without seeing each other), where they exchanged letters to each other. It was a loving moment where happy, emotional tears were shed.
The venue for Sterling & Joe’s wedding day, Baldoria on the Water, feels like an enchanting, intimate Italian restaurant. The interior is beautiful stone but brings warmth with a grand fireplace, ivy encased ceilings and custom uplighting throughout. Outside you’ll find a large outdoor pergola covering the guests and a large metal and stone gazebo for the bridal party all of this along a scenic waterfront view.
The ceremony was about to begin and guests wrote personalized messages to the amazing couple on chalkboard signs. When the ceremony started Sterling was escorted down the aisle by her father and the looks between the two said so much. Joe was absolutely stunned and in awe of his radiant bride. Later, Joe stunned the guests with his singing the classic Ave Maria in a perfect performance. The officiant, Jody Stevenson, just had one more thing to do. Joe slipped on the wedding and engagement ring (which was Sterling’s great grandmother’s ring) on his new wife’s hand and gave her a first kiss as man and wife.
The new venue wasn’t done surprising & amazing guests. Delicious food adorned the tables in the atmosphere of a glamorous sparkling chandelier while the up-lighting complimented the lavender reception decor themed in a winery motif. Next a slideshow of images played while daddy & daughter danced while watching the memories of his little girl growing up.
The cupcake tower was literally jaw dropping and not just in looks! It tasted seriously like heaven sprinkled with extra love and sugar by Gigi’s Cupcakes. To top off the party night, Timberline Entertainment & Events keep everyone off their booties and on their feet!
As if graduating, joining the Navy and getting married wasn’t enough, these two moved to San Diego for Sterling to start as a medical intern at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego! I wish these two nothing but happiness for the future and for the happiest new beginnings!

Hi Adriana!
I’m actually the photographer that took these photos and I don’t manage the venue (Baldoria on the Water). I would contact them directly (see the links at the end of the blog). I am however free for wedding photography that date. Hope to hear from you soon about it.
Thanks!
Katie
