A summer wedding is so magical in the mountains of Colorado. Almost as magical as two people so in love!

Jesse and Janette, both teachers met at work teaching in a Chicago middle school. Through teaching together, a good friendship began to develop. Years later that friendship grew into love and Jesse asked Janette to be his wife. The two celebrated their union in the mountains in Vail CO. with a intimate ceremony and reception full of flowers and rustic charm! They chose Piney River Ranch for their wedding venue as it is perfect location for an outside, summer wedding in the Rocky Mountains!

Romantic Ceremony

Piney River Ranch’s ceremony deck offers breathtaking views of the Gore Range. It is one the most romantic locations to say your “I Do’s.” Janette and her daughters, who were also her bridesmaids, wore custom made dresses made by Julia Needleman. One of her daughters hand sewed the intricate appliqués. I love how soft and elegant they looked and the gorgeous rose bouquets tied the classic look together. The two said their vows under a gorgeous arbor in front of their closest family and friends. Both the bouquets and the arbor were made by the very talented Lauren Ripko at Quintessential Weddings and Events. It was a heartfelt and personal wedding ceremony and I was so honored to have been part of it.

Rustic Reception

After the ceremony, we enjoyed the afternoon outside taking some formal portraits of the bride and groom together and with the families. We then headed inside the log pavilion to celebrate!

The pavilion at Piney River Ranch offers a rustic yet romantic feel to the wedding reception. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal catered by Cowboy Catering and of course, cake and desserts after. As the sun was setting low, the room filled with candle light and everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate the marriage of such an amazing couple! When all the guests left, the two rode away in a canoe to enjoy a few moments of alone time as husband and wife!
