I held my Fall Mini sessions at the Colorado Pumpkin Patch this year and had so much fun with the Baker family! I love this location because my family’s can go play with their littles in the patch after the session but we still get great fall colors from the scrub brush and pumpkins.  And really what fun to have with the family, picking out the perfect pumpkin to make the day more than just family portraits.  We just did Matthew’s one year session so he was comfortable with me and was his happy self for his family pictures.

Even though this was a “mini” session, I still provided a variety of sweet moments in a short amount of time. Mini sessions are shorter than my full sessions, so there isn’t a lot of time especially for bigger families but we can still get some fun interactive shots, not just standing and smiling. I loved meeting dad and had him throw Matthew in the air and put him on his shoulders. Dads always add fun and movement to portraits while mom spoil with snuggles and kisses. Matthew was loving all the attention!

Doesn’t Matthew look so dapper in his jean button up and cargos? Mom did a great job dressing her family with colors that coordinated each other without looking too matchy. I always suggest simple and comfortable clothing without distracting logos. Boots as well as accessories also add texture and interest to your portraits. I love it when clients send me snapshots of what they are thinking so I can provide suggestions and customize the session to them.
