Baby Breslyn was the model baby for my model call. I wanted to do a session where I could incorporate some of my fun new props and set pieces. One of the new pieces that I really wanted to make sure I got was this baby bonnet that I made myself. It’s covered in flowers and it’s perfect for a baby girl’s milestone session. Well, we got one shot of her wearing it and that was it. Lol! It was totally worth it though. The one shot we did get turned out great!

For the rest of the session, we just did some cute photos of this little cutie. I love the yellow onesie we put her in. The colorful wall as the background gave this session a really lovely spring feel. I can’t wait until spring is here! Can’t you tell? 🙂 The yellow outfit in the last photo was a gift from grandma that we just had to try. It fit her really well and it looked great with one of the floral headbands I have in my studio.
Breslyn is about nine months old in these photos. Nine months is a great age for a photo session like this because little ones can sit up on their own but they can’t walk yet. That makes it the perfect age to try poses like the ones in these photos. When we photograph babies before they can sit up, we get lots of tummy time photos and some on their backs, but we can’t do sitting poses without some extra help. Once babies start walking, it is so much harder to keep them in one place for photos, since they just want to wander around and climb on anything they can find!
