Photographing a photographer’s baby turned out to be so much fun! I don’t usually get other photographers as my own client, so I was pretty excited when a fellow wedding photographer decided to hire me. Abigail and I are part of the same networking group for female photographers here in Colorado.
Photographer’s Baby – Connor’s Newborn Session
She and her husband wanted to incorporate both of their jobs into the newborn photos and we had a lot of fun playing with ideas for how to do it. We even made one of Connor’s photos into a meme. For the last set up of the session, we surrounded Connor with flashes and cameras with big lenses. Just imagine the caption “when your mom is a photographer and you are trying to sleep” over it. We often joke about “photographer’s child syndrome” where our kids get so sick of us photographing them all the time, so they start to hate the camera and make pouty faces in every picture. I think it’s safe to say that baby Connor will definitely develop photographer’s baby syndrome pretty soon. Lol!
We didn’t just focus on mom’s job though! Abigail’s husband, Tim, is a wildlife officer. He spends most of his days out in the wilderness, around deer. One of their family friends gifted them this adorable deer outfit for little Connor. It was just so cute on him, I took a ton of photos in this outfit. We also did a few other blanket poses and outfits with neutral and blue tones. I really love the earthy feel of this whole session. It fit so well for this family. We had to throw in one more photo for Abigail too. I had Connor hold a roll of film in one of his blanket poses. Isn’t he the cutest little photographer?
