Scenic Colorado Springs Wedding – Sara + Lucas

Sara and Lucas had a scenic Colorado Springs wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. The day revolved around the stunning views and the love they have for each other and their families. So many couples meet online these days but these two met the old-fashioned way. They met through a mutual friend who worked with Sara and lived with her boyfriend and his buddy, Lucas. They were introduced to each other and quickly became inseparable.

After dating for a while, Lucas started planning his proposal. He took Sara on a trip to Estes Park, along with his brother and sister in law. They went on a hike in the park and when they reached the top of the mountain, he got down on one knee and asked Sara to marry him. It’s no wonder they wanted to have their wedding in a gorgeous place, just like the views they had when Lucas proposed!

Sara and Lucas wanted to keep their details to a minimum so as to have the focus be on the scenic views and the special moments of the day. I love that they chose to keep everything simple. It was a beautiful day full of emotion. Sara did a first look with her dad after she finished getting ready. The father-daughter first look is one of my parts of a wedding! They both cried tears of joy and it was such a special moment to have captured. The couple also did a first look with each other before the ceremony. It was another emotional part of the wedding day, full of love! Having a first look is a great way to split up the portraits and have more time to spend with guests during the reception too.

Lucas and Sara had an elegant, romantic, and chic wedding at the Garden of the Gods. They were surrounded by family, friends, and stunning scenery. After their wedding, they went on a mini honeymoon to Vail to relax and be together. They’re also planning a tropical honeymoon down the road. Can I come too!?
