After Britney moved to Colorado Springs to begin student teaching, she started looking for a church to join. When she found her church, she found a home there and soon joined a Young Adults Bible Study group as well. That’s where she met Ben. On their 19 month dating anniversary, he took her on a hike to Mount Virgil, where they had their first kiss. He had written her a letter to read at the mountain peak and gave her the ring inside a special chocolate. Soon after she said yes, they started planning their elegant, Christian wedding together! They had an epic engagement session near Fort Collins, where Ben went to school and I was so excited to photograph them again at their wedding. Take a look at this Edgewood Inn Christian Wedding.

Britney + Ben’s Elegant Christian Wedding

Britany and Ben had a classic wedding full of tradition, with meaning behind every detail. They chose to have the day at Edgewood Inn in Woodland Park, so they would be able to appreciate the beautiful mountains and woods surrounding them. It was so touching to see how many traditions they incorporated into their day.

First, they had a prayer with the bridal party and read letters they had written to each other. During the ceremony, the couple did a ritual feet washing and communion. They also lit a unity candle from the unity candles of both their parent’s weddings and had a prayer during the reception. After toasts, the bridal party did a family tradition that started at Britney’s parents’ wedding, called 12 Years of Marriage. I am always such a sucker for first looks with the bride’s dad. Britney’s dad was so emotional when he saw her in her dress and veil. It was such a sweet moment and I am so glad I was able to capture it. Ben and Britney had a gorgeous wedding day that I’m sure they will never forget.
