Best Colorado Wedding Vendors: Referral List Guide
I’ve been a Colorado Wedding Photographer for over a decade (not that I care to admit that!) and I have worked with some of the best in the wedding industry making our brides and grooms wedding inspiration and memories come true. Unfortunately, I have also seen my dear clients, hire inexperienced vendors, friends and worse even scam artists that have absolutely ruined a portion of their wedding day. Which is why I have a list that I give to all of my clients of wedding professionals that I have personally worked with, know very well (and Love!) and trust to take care of each and every client. Now, of course there are companies that aren’t on this list that can do a good job. However, Here is my own favorite list of preferred vendors if you’re looking for suggestion.
Colorado Wedding Photographers
Our studio has not only myself (Katie), but my associate photographer, Jamie, as well. We both have been photographing weddings for over a decade each. If one of us is booked, there’s a good chance the other is available. Email us at email@example.com or text at 719-433-8918 to see if we are still available your wedding day. We also have a online chat option on the bottom right of this page.

Colorado Wedding Venues
The first place to book is the venue! There are so many factors to consider when choosing a venue. What is the maximum guest capacity? Is there an indoor/outdoor option? Will there be other weddings the day of my wedding? Is it open during the winter? How long do you get the venue and what time can you come and have to leave by? Be sure to ask about what is provided and included in the fee (tables? chairs? clean up? set up? food?) and what you will need to provide. Also ask for rules pertaining to anything special you have planned for your day like the approved caterers, sparklers, confetti or a live band.

Colorado Wedding Planners
It’s no secret that planning a wedding can be overwhelming. Notably, a good wedding planner is worth his or her weight in gold! Not only will they help steer you through the most important decisions, they have years of personal experience that you can draw on. A good planner can help with vendor selection, design, spending categories, tips, timeline, setup, and day-of services. This is especially true for day of planners. They help make sure your vision comes together with everything in its place and no headaches coming to you the day of the wedding. Besides, having a professional planner can absolutely make the difference between wedding day stress and no stress piece of mind.

Colorado Wedding Catering Companies
The most anticipated event at a wedding once the “I-do’s” have been said is undoubtedly dinner. These preferred vendors serve up a delicious variety of food, cocktail menus, and specialty desserts that are sure to please your palette.
Colorado Wedding Cake, Cupcake and Dessert Creators
Your wedding cake is a beautiful, edible piece of art, and these vendors take (make!) the cake! A professionally prepared and decorated cake makes a statement about your theme, colors, hobbies, or the elegance of your wedding. In addition, be sure to ask about groom’s cake, and sheet cake or cupcakes if you don’t plan on ordering a tiered cake to feed your guests. Also, make sure your venue doesn’t charge a “cake cutting fee.”
Colorado Wedding DJ’s and Live Bands:
A good professional DJ does more than play music…they’re the life of the party! Furthermore, the DJ is entertainment, coordinates closely with planners and other vendors to keep the timeline, and gathers your guests for your main events (like first dance and cake cutting). Live bands are a great alternative, making a wedding feel like a concert! Even for the people not “up” for dancing, the live music is fun to watch! Just remember that they will need a break as well a few times during the night, and possibly a vendor meal depending on their time of arrival. And definitely do not overlook having a musician, trio etc for your ceremony or cocktail hour music.

Colorado Wedding Dress Boutiques and Tux Shops
Finding THE dress is just as important as finding THE venue (if not more-so!) Be sure to think about where you’re getting married (inside/outside) when picking out your style, or adding accessories (like a fun faux fur stole!). Trendy menswear is gaining popularity at weddings, so if a plain tuxedo isn’t what your heart desires, be sure to look at the fun hip styles these tux shops offer as alternatives.

Colorado Wedding Officiants
If you aren’t having a church wedding where you must use the specific representative of the church, it’s wonderful to be able to choose an officiant. In addition, officiants will tailor your ceremony to be more unique to you two. Moreover, these officiants are also loving of all couples and welcome LGBTQ+ couples with open arms. Another option to consider if you want a ceremony without religious figures, is to hire a judge.
