Colorado Springs Bookstore Engagement

Kat and Nick wanted to incorporate all their favorite things into their engagement photos. They were looking for a Colorado Springs bookstore engagement session and they also wanted photos at Red Rocks Canyon open space in Colorado Springs. We went to Red Rocks Canyon open space first and got some gorgeous photos of the two of them loving on each other and being adorable. This space is such a beautiful backdrop and it just screams Colorado, don’t you think? It has everything: water, mountains, and those amazing red rocks. We even found some golden leaves that were still hanging around from the Fall and we had a fresh dusting of snow!

Colorado Springs Bookstore Engagement – Kat + Nick

Getting engagement photos in a bookstore proved to be a little bit trickier. I really didn’t want to disrupt another business and annoy people trying to quietly read or look for new books. I called around to a few local bookstores and Poor Richard’s Bookstore in downtown Colorado Springs was so accommodating. They were more than happy to have us come in to take some engagement photos. We made sure to be quick so we weren’t too disruptive. Nick and Kat love Harry Potter so we found a couple of the hardcover books for them to use as props. We got in, took a few shots, and got out. I love how these bookstore photos turned out. They are so sweet and really show the personalities of this couple.

Kat and Nick will be having a destination wedding outside of Colorado. How exciting! They needed engagement photos for their Save the Dates right away so they found someone local to take them. I’m so glad they found me. Congrats on your engagement Kat and Nick!
