It’s that time! Fall is here which means Fall Family Portraits are needed! At least in Colorado, especially Colorado Springs that is what it means because we all know the cold, wind will be here soon as well as sunset at 4:30pm. lol Therefore, we will all have cabin fever for the next few months and let’s face it, talking your husband into taking your small children out in cold and snow is harder than winning the lottery. One thing I love is that everyone just went back to school shopping so that means adorable outfits for your little ones. Just have to take care of Mom and Dad after that to make sure you all look picture perfect for the fall family portraits.
Fall Family Portraits – Colorado Springs Family Photographer
The only downside to fall in Colorado is it is at the mercy of the weather. Luckily, we have been fortunate to lately have longer fall weather to enjoy but that isn’t guaranteed every year. Last year for these minis it was a bit chilly, nevertheless we were still able to get snuggles and happy smiles for everyone’s fall family portraits. For my mini sessions, many times I’ll hold off setting the location until a week before the day. Obviously this is because fall leaves and foliage can be a bit unpredictable.
Additionally, some locations that are popular are over saturated with other photographers. In addition, you’ll see lines of cars wanting to see the beautiful fall landscape. Trust me when I say that you don’t want to be stuck in a car with your children for several hours. In particular this is why I’ll choose simple, beautiful but close locations especially for my families. When was the last time you had your family photos taken? If it’s been awhile, let’s book your fall family portraits today!
