Drew and Kathleen had a true Colorado elopement this fall. These days, a lot of people want to elope with their families or friends. It is so amazing to be surrounded by your loved ones when you tie the knot. Traditionally, when a couple elopes, it is just the two of them running off and getting secretly married. These two might not have been able to keep their marriage a secret but they did run off and elope, just the two of them. Well, the two of them and me!
They actually called me on a Tuesday and eloped that Friday. I guess they decided they did want to share their day with family and friends after all but through photos. They both have kids from prior relationships and I can only imagine how excited they were to see these photos when their parents got home.
Kathleen + Drew’s Colorado Elopement
Kathleen and Drew eloped at Garden of the Gods, one of Colorado’s most stunning parks. They got ready at the resort and club and even did their first look in their new villas. Then, we headed out to the park where they exchanged vows, rings, and had their first kiss. They each wrote their own vows and I love that they wrote them that day, and on the hotel’s notepads! What a cute reminder of the little details of their day. Kathleen had the cutest sparkly, white Kate Spade shoes. They are the perfect balance of glam and practicality for when your elopement involves a bit of hiking. We did bride, groom, and newlywed portraits as the sun set behind the Rocky Mountains. They had a little cake waiting back at their hotel so they could continue the celebration after I left. All in all, it was a completely perfect day!
