Colette is 6 months old! I have been photographing Collette and her older brother, Reed’s, Colorado milestone sessions for a few years now and they are such a delight to work with. When we did Collette’s newborn photos, Reed and their parents got in on the action as well. This session was all about her though!
Colorado Milestone Sessions – Collette
At the start of the session, Collette was a bit cranky because she had woken up early from her nap. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve for cranky kids and by the end of the session, she was smiling, laughing, and having a great time! Getting great photos is all about preparation. That’s why I help my clients prepare before they show up. It’s also why I have backup plans in case things go wrong because let’s be honest, babies are unpredictable. I have plans for if a newborn doesn’t want to sleep or if a toddler doesn’t want to cooperate. I can handle it all!
Collette’s session was a great chance for me to use all my new backdrops from Shades of Drops! I love these backdrops so much. Aren’t they gorgeous? Collette loved them so much, she somehow managed to pee on them! Haha! With babies, there’s never a dull day, right? Luckily, these backdrops are machine washable. We went with three different setups for this session. The first was a more vintage look, with a brown backdrop and vintage baby furniture. Next, we went all girl with a floral, pink backdrop and fuzzy, pink rug. We put her in my purple romper and pink dress to glam it up even more! Lastly, I brought out a blue backdrop, outfits, and props to highlight Collette’s gorgeous blue eyes.
