Indian fusion Garden of the Gods Resort Wedding
One of my favorite things about weddings, besides the wedding cake, is all of the different cultural celebrations from different religions and people. This may be a Korean tea ceremony, a Jewish ketubah, or a Hindu Sangeet. Really, everybody celebrates their day just a little bit differently and no two are exactly alike. Couples should be encouraged and celebrated for who they are and how they want to join as a married couple. Jackie and Prashant did exactly that. They chose to fuse both sides traditions and a tire for their Indian fusion wedding day at Garden of the Gods Resort.
Prashant and Jackie’s Wedding Day
The day started with
The Day Colorado doing hair and makeup in one of the sweets and Villas at Garden of the Gods Resort. This Resort offers luxury and private accommodations Suites on site. Days before, Jackie had participated in a mehendi henna ceremony that decorated her hands for the wedding day. She started out for the ceremony and first look in her traditional American white wedding dress. It also featured a stunning Cathedral length veil. Prashant certainly was speechless when he saw her.
The ceremony took place on the main lawn with a view of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods in the background. Since this was an Indian fusion Garden of the Gods Resort Wedding, there was no Roka or Vidaai though for this couple. Once the ceremony was complete, there was a wardrobe change to their traditional Punjabi attire, lehenga and sherwani. However, this particular wedding reception took place at The View which is close to the Garden of the Gods Resort golf course. The tables were beautifully decorated with candlelight and centerpieces. Next, there was a surprise for all of the wedding guests. Prashant and Jackie made their grand entrance into their first dance which looked like dancing in the clouds. This was the first time I had one of these at a wedding and I absolutely loved it! After dinner, however that is when the real party began. With both American and Indian top 10 hits, Dhol drummer and traditional music, there was never a guest in their seats. I love how everyone celebrated wholeheartedly with their bodies and spirit.
