Modern, Elegant Denver Art Museum Wedding

Modern, Elegant Denver Art Museum Wedding

The Mile High City has so much to offer and explore. So many of my couples, local and destination, go straight to the rocky mountains and miss out on many of the treasures of Denver. Nevertheless, this was not the case with Cassie and Callie. These two found love in their love for coffee and snacks. They also loved the artistic, ethnocentric downtown Denver area. Both of these brides have large families, one Jewish and one Latino with lots of extended family. There was one clear choice to host all their treasured friends and family as well as the planned (surprise) entertainment. That venue is the Modern, Elegant, Denver Art Museum for the Wedding.

Callie + Cassie’s multicultural wedding day

The Denver Art Museum entertains more than just weddings, of course, so both brides started getting ready at The Art Hotel which is within walking distance. Now, I will say I love the look of this hotel and the rooms, however, this day there was issues with the elevators. It was really the only way that we could go up especially with all of our gear bags so just be aware. A first look was in order and a good area to do it was the large sculpture just outside of the Art Museum. Such a beautiful moment between these two.

The ceremony was shortly after with an amazing view of downtown Denver with floor to ceiling glass windows. The ceremony ran a bit longer and we weren’t able to get the time around the art inside of the museum, however, we were able to get the best view of all. The rooftop is pretty private and was just the two of them (and me) with a blue hour view of downtown Denver. We also got to do a few in the lobby and in front of the staircase. The best part of the reception was the coffee bar provided for all the guests after the amazing dinner they just enjoyed.

So, for a full year, Callie entrusted us and the planner with a secret. The Jewish dance, the horah, was always planned and was such great fun. Callie’s parents gave me one of my favorite photos of all time. I’ll let you guess which one it is. However, the surprise was actually a marachi band for Cassie. And boy was she surprised and overjoyed! Her whole family just melted and simultaneously broke into song and dance. It was the most eventful and memorable day for Callie and Cassie!
