There’s nothing more fulfilling than being appreciated for what you do! Especially in a highly competitive field such as wedding photography. Recently I won a special award and placed highly in several competitions for my work that I wanted to share with all of you!
Shoot and Share
There have been several contests in the photography happening in March. One of these is put on by a photographer’s company, Shoot & Share. Thousands of photographers enter. The judging is anonymous and done by the same photographers that entered (yes thousand’s of us voting). This year, in about 25 categories, there were total about 225,000 photos entered from all around the world! The competition is pretty steep as you can imagine! The wedding and engagement categories are the biggest categories with the most entries. Well, I did pretty well this year, placing in the Top 100 in one of the categories (Just the Bride)! Last year, in the wedding couple category, I made it to a Finalist. Additionally, I had other images that placed in the top 10%, 20% and 30% in the entire group! Basically in the entire world if you think about it ;)! To give you some perspective, my top photo placed in the top 58% (less than 1%) out of the thousands of photographers! So exciting!!!
Award Winning!
When searching for photographers, seeing their awards and recognitions is a great way to know that they are professionals and experts in their industry. And when it comes to publicity in the photography industry, winning competitions such as these provides me with new opportunities and helps grow my personal brand.
The Winning Photos
Here is a small look at my images that did so well! I am always thankful for my clients for putting trust in me to capture these memories for them and support me as I continue to grow and improve every year. I absolutely love being a photographer for engaged couples! Couples that are so in love and that show me how deeply they care for each other! And continue to allow me to see their families grow after their wedding day, welcoming new loves in their newborn babies and building their little families. 🙂
