On top of the world – Engagements at Garden of the Gods

I have photographed more times than I can count at Garden of the Gods.  So when I met Kristen & Johnson, and heard about their Nashville wedding and wanting to do engagements in Colorado, I knew I had to look for some different locations at one of my favorite destinations.  So I went scouting and found a location that looked as if they were standing on top of the world, just the two of them.  Kissing Camels and White Rock make for beautiful backgrounds especially with these two.

Engagements at Garden of the Gods

As the sun started to set, we made our way to one of my favorite spots in the park, mostly because it also has a gorgeous view from many angles of all of the red rocks of Garden of the Gods, but also a spectacular view of Pikes Peak.  And of course Kristen and Johnson had to put on their best for these grand views.  A cute pink and white dress with nude heels was perfect for Kristen and Johnson looked dapper in a grey suit.  Perfect compliment to each other.  They may not see too many mountain views for their lovely Nashville wedding, but that’s ok because we got the best there is for their engagements.

Outfit choices go along way in adding more interest to the photos and bringing several outfits for your session is a great way to add variety to your session. For the first part of the session K+J went more casual with vests and denim. Then they changed into their formal outfits which gave a a new, classic and timeless look! If you need help decided what to wear for your session, you can get many ideas from this couple’s choices. You can never go wrong with a few layers, simple colors and classic clothing like a great suit and a A-line dress with heels!

Btw, doesn’t Johnson look like a dead ringer (doppleganger) for Jeremy Renner???
