Piney River Ranch Vail Wedding
Colorado is known for it’s grand mountain views and my goodness we have no shortage of breathtaking landscapes. One such picturesque wedding venue is a bit more remote than the others but is worth the pain in the butt drive to get there 🙂 That venue is Piney River Ranch. Literally this venue has it ALL. It has mountains, a lake, a river, a ranch, wildlife and even a few comforts of home. It’s located about 11 miles outside of Vail but will take you about an hour to get there from Vail. But once you get there you won’t want to leave. You can canoe, do horseback riding, hike and um get married 🙂 Some of my favorite and most loved photos are from Piney River Ranch. And I have many stories from this venue. I’ve waded in the lake hip high and 6 months pregnant photographing my clients. I’ve also left the venue in the middle of the night only to have my car charged by a bull moose. YA! lol
Jayce & Kristin came from Texas to have their wedding day in a place decorated by Mother Nature. These two seemed lost in the that enchanting landscape and had eyes only for each other 🙂 When in a more remote area like Piney, I like to try to do a night shot of my couple. In this case, we chose (and were allowed to by the venue) to do a sparkler shot as well as a sparkler exit. I love how they both turned out.
