Amanda and Arturo are two (actually 3 with kiddo Gabriel) of my favorite people! They are so amazing together and I loved sharing their wedding day with them. These two had a Garden Party wedding at Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs. It was like a fairytale, the whole day was so dreamy. Arturo and Amanda met playing soccer and they have already left me moving to Germany together! Um, I will be making plans to Germany. 😉 And how crazy is it that the last couple whose wedding I photographed got engaged in Germany?
Amanda describes their proposal as ‘totally unromantic.’ Lol. Sometimes the best proposals are totally unromantic! They were talking on the phone one night about their upcoming move and they realized they needed to get married before their big adventure. And that was it. Amanda actually planned this wedding in just a few short months – I mean what? how? It was so pinterest worthy! And I was so honored I had my own table card and setting! They started planning their intimate wedding and made it all happen before their move across the world. Sometimes, you don’t need a big, romantic proposal. You just need to decide together that you want to be with each other for the rest of your lives. Still pretty adorable, right? Also, kudos to them for planning a wedding and a big move at the same time. That is not easy but they did an amazing job!
Garden Party Wedding – Amanda + Arturo
Once Amanda and Arturo decided to get married at Hillside Gardens, they realized that a garden party wedding was the perfect theme for their exciting day. They wanted something classic, beautiful, and romantic and they wanted the day to be filled with greenery and florals. Rhonda Nichols Flowers provided the floral design for the wedding and really helped bring the garden party theme together. She even nursed some peonies for several weeks to get them perfect for Amanda’s wedding! The gold and blush touches made the event feel classic and look gorgeous. Their intimate reception had everyone seated around a long table and after dinner, they danced the night away while the sun set behind them!
