A Red Rocks wedding is the most classic way to get married in Colorado. It’s the perfect way to show out of towners what Colorado is all about: the great outdoors, beautiful scenery, and the stunning Rocky Mountains. Red Rocks is an incredible location for a wedding. It’s close to Denver, it showcases all the unique beauty of the state, and it makes for amazing photos! Who wouldn’t want to get married in front of a backdrop like that!

Red Rocks Wedding – Erin + Tamir

Tamir and Erin met when they were introduced by a mutual friend. Last December, just after Christmas, they were visiting New York City. They went to Rockefeller Center to see the decorations and go ice skating. Tamir proposed by the Christmas tree on December 30th! This time of year is what us wedding photographers call proposal season! There are so many people getting engaged between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. It’s such a romantic time of year, don’t you think?

Erin and Tamir got married at the Red Rocks Trading Post. They offer a great indoor space in addition to some beautiful outdoor patios overlooking the park. We started their day with some couple’s portraits before the ceremony. I love being able to get some of these photos early in the day. It’s a great way for couples to relax and really connect with each other before they see all of their friends and family. Wedding receptions can be pretty chaotic and it can be so hard to leave all your loved ones for photo time. Scheduling newlywed portraits before the ceremony or during cocktail hour is a great way to avoid that stress.
